Is Termite Damage Threatening Your Home?

How to Do Pre-emptive Termite Control
The first thing you should know about keeping your home safe from termites is to avoid having the things that termites are attracted to near your home. These are, primarily, wood and organic material, moisture sources, and soil.
Here are some tips:
- Avoid storing firewood near the base of your home. Even if you put woodpiles a few feet away, it can keep termites from transferring straight from the wood to cracks in the foundation of your home.
- Avoid having a garden touching the foundation of your home for the same basic reasons. Termites are drawn to moist soil, and when there’s a chance that the edge of your garden is contacting cracks in the foundation, termites can get into your home.
